We CNC-machine SPE flow cells for screen-printed electrodes in-house. We are able to manufacture the flow cells from a variety of materials to meet diverse application needs (chemical resistance, transparency, mechanical strength). We can accommodate custom designs.
Typical materials: HDPE, PEEK, PMMA (Acrylic), Polycarbonate, and more.
We usually CNC-machine the flow cells from acrylic with connections to accommodate standard 1/4-28 fittings.
As an example, you can use:
A – PPS antitwist barb to 1/4-28 male fitting to connect to peristaltic pump tubing (3 mm or 1/8) – see images in gallery
B – standard flangeless 1/4-28 fittings to connect to any type of tubing tubing with 1/16 or 1/8 OD – see example in gallery connecting to 1/16 HPLC tubing using flangeless PEEK 1/4-28 fittings.
Our flow cells can be made to match any type of screen printed electrode, such as BVT, ItalSens, CTI, MicruX, BST, Gii-Sens, Zimmer & Peacock, Zensor, Metrohm.
We can make custom design modifications to meet your application needs.
Our SPE flow cells have modular design to accommodate use of inserts – these can have a variety of functions:
1. surface modification to meet your application needs.
For example, if you wish to use PEEK flow cell, there is no need to spend hundreds of dollars on machining flow cell from expensive PEEK, instead, an insert from a thin PEEK sheet can be used.
Glass inserts offer improved scratch and chemical resistance.
2. Inserts can be coated with specific chemical indicators, catalysts.
3. Inserts can have form of a microfluidic chip.
